Mark Wood applies 20+ years of real-world experience to cut through complex issues and spark improvements in leadership and performance, combining deep expertise with a refreshing no-BS style.

This is Mark's second stint as a sole proprietor -- his first stint ended when one of his clients hired him to lead their HR function.  That client was BioMarin, where Mark helped the company grow from 250 employees located in three buildings to 1200 employees located in 30 countries, in a span of 9 years.  Mark's prior experience includes VP of HR & Administration at AG Consulting, head of compensation and quantitative analysis at Genentech, and various HR positions at Wells Fargo Bank.

In addition to his current consulting work, Mark serves as adjunct faculty in the business schools at Dominican University of California and Sonoma State University.  He is also active in regional economic development efforts, previously serving as Chairman of the Board at the North Bay Leadership Council and the Marin County Workforce Investment Board.

Mark is an alumnus of Cornell University (Master of Industrial and Labor Relations) and the University at Buffalo (Bachelor of Arts in psychology).
